The Henderson County Disaster Recovery Partnership

The Henderson County Disaster Recovery Partnership

About

The Disaster Recovery Partnership (DRP) was established in 2025 to respond to the need for a central, community-driven long-term recovery effort for Henderson County residents recovering from Helene.

We are the official Long-Term Recovery Group for Henderson County. The purpose of a Long-Term Recovery Group (LTRG) is to have a designated, centralized, coordinating group of partnering organizations whose common goal is to assist the impacted individuals and families in the community with their Long-Term Recovery. LTRGs encourage community participation and the pooling together of resources to get the most out of the recovery effort. LTRGs also help to communicate up-to-date information, organize volunteers, bring in targeted resources and money, and capture the story of your community’s disaster. This ensures that you can recover together, gather valuable information, and apply what is learned throughout the recovery process to the community’s overall resilience for future disasters.

Services

The main service the DRP provides is holistic disaster case management. The Disaster Case Management Program functions in support of empowering and addressing individuals’ and families’ recovery needs. Our case managers represent a multitude of non-profits in the region and are dedicating to doing whatever necessary to advance clients along their recovery journey.

In addition to disaster case management, the DRP has also launched a program aimed at addressing the gap in temporary housing for homeowners in the county who are participating in a home rebuild/repair program. The DRP’s Transitional Housing Financial Assistance Program provides a fixed amount of monetary rental assistance for a fixed amount of time to homeowners who meet the eligibility requirements.

If you know someone in need of any of the services mentioned above in Henderson County, please direct them to the Get Help section of our website (https://hcdrp.org/) where they can submit on online request for assistance.

Meetings

The DRP meets quarterly on the first Tuesday of the month. Our next meeting will take place on June 2nd at 11pm at the VFW in Hendersonville. We hope to see you there.
